I feel like I have made it! Like I am an accomplished home brewer. I have past the milestone of my first "Oh sh*t!" moment. I smile about it now that I got the room cleaned up, but the fiance was the first one to see it.

My first blowoff too! I suppose mutual congrats are in order man. My 2nd 5 gallon batch using a 6 gallon Better Bottle. Doing a Dry Irish Stout using Wyeast Irish Ale yeast. Fermentation began <12 hrs. Blowoff was <21 Hrs total. I think next time I'll go with the blowoff tube right from the get go for the first few days.
