I found this recipe in a book in the specialty beer style. I've never seen a recipe quite like it and wondered if you guys thought it would turn out good. Looks kinda weird, here it is:

I scaled the recipe for a 2.75 gallon batch using beersmith

0.25 lb Caravienne Malt (22.0 SRM) Grain 3.33 %
0.25 lb Oats, Flaked (1.0 SRM) Grain 3.33 %
0.75 oz Amarillo Gold [7.50 %] (60 min) Hops 32.6 IBU
0.35 oz Amarillo Gold [7.50 %] (30 min) Hops 11.7 IBU
0.30 oz Amarillo Gold [7.50 %] (15 min) Hops 6.5 IBU
0.60 oz Amarillo Gold [7.50 %] (0 min) Hops -
0.55 tbsp PH 5.2 Stabilizer (Mash 60.0 min) Misc
US-05 dry yeast

Personally, I find the combination of citrus hops and roasted barley unworkable.

Yeah, that's a wierd one. Take out the wheat and I'd say you have a red with a somewhat non-traditional hop selection. But with the wheat, I dunno, I guess that's why it's in the specialty category. If you're intregued, give it a shot and let us know.
