where to place them? male on tank or hose? does the female seal and not leak? thanks

Some of the quick disconnect may specify flow direction. Specially if you are using the shut-off valve kind. I am using the quick disconnects from McMaster with silicone seals for a higher temp rating and no shut-off valve. I choose the male on tank and female on hose because of economics. The female quick connectors are a lot more expensive !
