Is there one? I know it would be better to install a sight glass, but I don't really have the equipment for that right now, so I need a safe alternative to mark level inside the kettle. Thanks.

A metal punch tool to put a dimple at preset locations. Or metal character Stamp tools 0-8 the 6 is used upside down as a 9.

Northern tool and equipment, sears, home depot, Lowe's
