As mentioned in another thread, if you're going to make soda use a dedicated soda keg. Leave the other ones for beer.

I always rinse my kegs and taste the water coming out of them until it tastes like WATER before putting beer in them. Then sanitize.

I dont dump them....I make the mistake batches beer tax. Anyone who comes over must drink one glass prior to tapping into the good beer...Luckily Ive only had two of these in the last two years of brewing...

For me it was dropping my fermenter this past sunday with 11-gallons of freshly brewed Dale's Pale Ale (clone) on my basement floor while trying to carry it from my backyard to my basement fermentation chiller. My rommmate usually helps me with this step, although I have done it alone before. I will not make this mistake again, I cannot tell you how much work it was to clean up 11 gallons of a pale ale off my laminate wood floor and the other concrete floored rooms it flowed into.

I have to admit, I took my hat off as it flowed down the drain.
I now oxyclean soak all of my kegs after each one kicks, I also now replace all the o-rings every other batch, it might get spendy, but hey, look what happened to your poor beer. I am also thinking of marking each keg with masking tape so I know what was in em prior to reduce the risk of any cross flavoring from happening, like what happened to Arneba. (almost happened to me with a blonde ale going into a keg that previously held my Smoked RyePA)
