Default For Sale - European Sanke Keg

I gave a Guinness keg 13.2 gal that I am no longer using and can get rid of.

Here are some pics

http://picasaweb.google.com/shane.te...N7m6vXeg7mvtQE

It has a 9 1/4"hole cut already

If you would like it shipped. Here are the box dimensions and weight from zip 15238 so you can get a quote from ups or fedex.

16 x 16 x 24 and is about 30lbs

Asking price is $50.

Can you brew 10 gallon batches in this type of keg?

It would be a good HLT or MLT for 10g batches but it would be a stretch to do 10g AG (more than 10g) full boils. EDIT: Are you sure it's a 13.2? Guinness is sold in 15.5g European Sankey.

Ah I see, so you need quite a few more gallons of wort for a 10g recipe to compensate for evaporation?

Correct, on 90 minute boil, high gravity beers I've had 13.5-14 gallons or so.... pretty scary until the hot break. You could use it as a BK, but you'd probably want to invest in fermicaps (spelling) drops.
