Default Just another diy stir plate

$16 at radioshack is what it ran me, had everything else.

I was having problems with the stir bar being thrown off after a while. I had originally glued the magnets right to the pvc pipe. I tore them off and glued a washer on the pvc then glued the magnets to the washer. works awesome now, i can actually move the flask around on the plate and the bar wont get thrown off. the power supply i'm using actually goes up to 14v and the bar still can hold on with it turned all the way up Just thought I'd share my experience as I had seen others complaining about the stir bar being thrown off.

Sorry, for the low quality pics, my phone took them...
