Default Ordinary Bitter - PM with MO

Almost ready to pitch a batch from Austin. Great session beer and what I've got in the cabinet runs from a 8.2% Farm ale to 15.5% blackberry wine. So, I though I'd give it a crack.

1.75 lb MO
0.5 lb C60L
Mash @ 155F for 45 min.
3.5 lb Pale LME
1.5 oz. Fuggles @ 60
0.5 @ 5

OG 1.036 TFG 1.012

S-04

The mash temperature ran too low towards the end. I started the mash outside and moved it inside. Wouldn't fit in the oven, so I put it on top and I think the over-temperature sensor shut the burner off while I was on the dogwalk. Not a problem with so much extract and a low attenuation target.

That looks really good! I think I need to think about a bitter. Right now, I have an Irish red, a stout, and an IIPA on tap, with an IPA coming. An ordinary bitter is probably just what I need to fill the gaps.

I'm not a fuggles fan, but might consider a similar recipe with EKG or willamette hops. I have a pound of willamette, and no plan at all for them!

I love bitter. Love it.

May I suggest my recipe for a Golden Bitter?
