Default Using Degas attachment for mixing grain

Can I use a drill attachment de gassing rod to mix the grain and water in my mash ton? I will make sure that it is deep in the ton to make sure not to areate at this point

If you have a variable drill and run it slow. It would be awfully localized and I can't imagine it would be better than stirring with a spoon.
