It's another "Heading to Oktoberfest" thread. I have a few questions and will probably have more a long the way.
I was wondering what a car costs to rent? We are flying into Frankfurt. We are first heading to Koln for a day or two.. Any recommendations for hotel and or sight seeing? Then Heading towards Weihenstephan. Any recommendations for Hotel here? Then heading south to Munich for ocktoberfest. Probably gonna be here for 3 or 4 days. Hotels are getting scarce, but we'll find one. Any suggestions would be great appreciated.

Cheers

Do you need a tour guide? How about one that's never been there. I can squeeze myself into an overnight bag.

Do I need to purchase tickets for some of the big tents or is it first come first serve? How does it work?
