After many safe brewing days, I had an injury last night. I brewed back to back, last night and this morning.

I was hooking up the wort chiller and when I turned on the water it came shooting out of a hole in the tubing coming off the coil. REALLY hot water that soaked right through my shoe and sock and immediately burned the top layer of skin off of my toe.

I think that when I was removing the brew pot from the burner, the hose must have bumped the burner and burnt a hole in the tube.

It hurt like hell. Be careful taking your chiller and pot off the burner so you don't do the same thing I did.

I have a really nasty scar on the inside of my left heel from a similar accident where I dumped boiling water from the chiller exhaust tube into my shoe. I couldn't wear socks and regular shoes for a month...
