Got my Dead Goat Ale (maibock style ale with pacman yeast) in the fermentor but was trying to figure out why I only got a 53% effecincy. I went through all the steps in my head and allof a sudden it dawns on me . . . I did a no sparge method instead of a batch sparge

Instead of draining the mash tun then refilling it I just topped her right off and drained away

So f***ing p1ssed right now

Wow, that really sucks.


Edit: Well now you can use this batch to grow a big starter for some other ginormous beer next week.
Once the wind has been broken, it cannot be fixed.
