My summer ale is about ready to be bottled now after three weeks in the primary and a fg at 1.014. Drank the hydrometer tube after the reading. Great initial lemon flavor but followed by a very grassy flavor. Tasted just like a fistful of Amarillo hops (which I used for aroma). Anything I can do to counter the grassy flavor? It was not something I would want to drink.

Most off-flavors will dissipate with bottle conditioning. Just bottle as normal, give it another 3-4 weeks and then try it.

What is the recipe?

was it dry hopped? That "grassy" flavor will probobly mellow with time into a cleaner hop flavor, though it is likely caused by the inter play of the hops and whatever is giving it a lemon flavor.

My best advice is to let it age in the bottles for a couple of months and enjoy.

It is a wheat/light dme recipe with 1 oz. Mt hood and amarillo. Amarillo was added at the end of the boil with lemon zest and coriander. S-33 yeast.

I will bottle and wait. Thanks for the help.
