Thanks, I came home from work and took a look at it, and it has mellowed out, but the krausen is still larger than life. I cant wait to try this beer!

I did a week in primary, a week in secondary and it's been in the keg on gas now for only 4 days. I wanted to have it ready for a halloween party this saturday. I tried it today and figured it wouldn't be ready yet but man was I wrong. This is the best pumpkin beer I have ever had and I try every one I can find. I spent the day working around the house and I filled my glass every time I walked by the tap. I wish I made 10 gallons.

I have to take it back a little, I loved southern teirs pumking 2 years ago. That one might have been a little better than this but not by much. I wonder if it will get better after it ages a little? I won't find out because it won't last past Saturday's party. Hell, it might not make it to Saturdays party. Great job on the recipe, I looked at all of the pumpkin recipe's on here and decided on your's and I'm glad I did. I will be making this again but next time it will be a double batch

I'm in North Carolina on business and just picked some DFH Punkin so I'll have a frame of reference when I try my batch.

Still an awesome thing to hear.

And it's great after it has enough time to carb.... but give it a month or two in the keg and it becomes stellar (IMHO)

That's how I roll, too. Luckily Reno has a pretty decent craft beer scene so punkin is easy to find

I opened my first bottle last night and was a bit confused.I brewed the partial mash virson, full boil, and also used a temperature control fir the first time.( set at 64 )

It's been in the bottle for 2 half weeks now. My wife and I noticed a cider flavor to it more then anything. You get the spice at the end but its seems to taste more like a cider spice ale.If that makes any sense. This was my first pumpkin ale attempt so is that normal? Would letting it age a bit more change the flavor profile? ?
