Default What is this contamination?

Hi there! I have this contamination, it's like white floating stuff. It doesn't smell or taste anything. I drank many many beers before from brown bottles, so I didn't realize the infection. But when I looked at my clear bottles I see the infection. What is this infection?

Thanks.

Residue from cleaning the bottle maybe?? Doesn't look like any infection I have seen in pictures. Does it look like an oily film on top?

Yes it's kinda oily on top. And it's only on top. You think I may haven't rinse my bottle enough?

Or it could be something picked up along the way that was a little oily, maybe something from your brew pot or maybe one of your additives. My stout looks like that as well. I wouldn't be worried if you can't taste any off flavours. But yeah maybe try rinsing for a little longer next time. Does the beer have good head?

But I am fairly new as well, best to wait for someone else to chime in.

Yes the beer has a good head. I use "diversol", the pink powder to clean my equipment. I know it's hard to rinse, so I'll try to rinse longer next time. Thanks.

No problem...I think I was using a pink powder for cleaning and sanitizing when I brewed my stout last year as well. So there is one similarity.
