I'm wanting to be able to do black and tans. What two beers would you recommend I brew? I'm leaning toward a Vienna lager and a dry stout unless I hear differently.

Traditional a black and tan is either a stout or porter, then mixed with an English style Pale Ale. However, thats just tradition and you could do whatever you want! Brewing is all about doing your own thing.

A Vienna lager does sound interesting with a stout. Nice mix of sweet and the dry/roasty flavors

I made a few B&T's recently using an Oatmeal Stout and the Haus Pale Ale. Both recipies are available in the recipies section on this site.
