Cheaper ones without all that vibration gizmo, wooden racks etc. seems like a good alternative.

Considering getting a Haier or GE

Got curious if people use them here.

I have a Magic Chef beverage cooler that they sell at Home depot works well it goes down to 41 so lagering is done the chest freezer . But I did ferment a lager in it at 56

I am using an old EWave (Magic Chef) wine cooler as a soda kegerator. Previously used it for fermenting until I built a larger chamber. Just hook it up with a digital or analog temp controller and you are set. For kegerator use I disconnected the two wire leads to the thermostat switch and connected them together thereby bypassing the internal controls.
