Baton Rouge just has bars, for the most part. No microbreweries, no really cool pubs, to speak of. But when I lived in CA, I really liked going to Buffalo Bill's Brewery in Hayward. They had some excellent beers and ales, and the food they served was pretty good, too.

Too Cool. I just found out that Buffalo Bills distributes a small selection of their brews to certain stores, and Cost Plus carries their Pumpkin Ale. There's a store in Baton Rouge, so I'm gonna get some BBB Pumpkin Ale today! I haven't had any in about 6 years.

Vtbrew,

If you ever go to the San Francisco area, BBB is definitely worth taking the time to visit. Go for lunch or dinner. The food in their restaurant is great. My favorite year round beer there is Tasmanian Devil, but they have a seasonal called Alimony Ale that I absolutely love.
