Default Okay to store water in corny keg overnight?

I am getting ready to brew a couple batches tomorrow. Would it be okay to store water in a corny keg? I get the water for brewing at a natural spring water spot.

I toyed around with leaving any keg I have that is empty full of water just for emergencies. To bad I never have any empty for more than a week or two.

It may not taste good if you don't clean well... But safe? Yeah.
