Hello,

I plan on buying a pallet of bottles. They are 0.5 liters each. Each one can hold 14-15 grams of co2 before bursting.

How many volumes of carbonation do you think/know this is?

Thanks

Kind regards,
Marius Jonsson

A mole of CO2 is 44 gm and 22.4 liters at one atmosphere. So, 15 gm is about 1/3 of a mole or 7.6 liters. Squeeze that into a 0.5L bottle and you've got 15.2 volumes.

Those are very strong bottles.

There will be much less than half a liter for the 15g og co2 to occupy: the liquid will fill much of the half liter of each bottle.

How does that work out?

Thanks,
Marius

First of all, do not carb to 15 volumes of CO2.

Now that is out of the way, the liquid absorbs the gas and doesn't exert any force on it's own, so if David's calcs are correct, which I believe they are, then you still have 15.2 volumes.
