Default Blow-off tube came out

Pitched on a previous yeast cake. Had an airlock, bubbling was going good next morning, switched it to blow off tube.. went to work, came home, tube had come out... replaced with airlock and its bubbling good about every 5 seconds.. not sure how long the tube was out.. what problems/issues does this raise?

you should be fine. lots of gas was (and still is) coming out of the fermenter. airborn nasties would have had a hard time falling into the neck of the carboy with all that gas pushing its way out.

You might not be in bad shape. If the krausen was actively coming out of the top of the carboy, you have nothing to worry about - the outward flow won't allow bacteria to travel in the opposite direction.

If not, you might have opened your brew up to infection, but there's not much you can do but wait it out. The off-gassing should have staved off most of your problems, and healthy yeast will overcome minor bacterial and wild yeast invasions.
