My first year cascade plant has grown like gang busters. MY 3rd year Saaz dont have anywhere near this many cones. The Cascade has the yellow powder on almost all the cones. But some of the cones also have like brown strings hanging from them. Should I pick them? This is the first chance I have had to harvest hops in three years of growing.

Those aren't ready yet. Give them another week or two. Read my blog if you'd like to know exactly how they'll look when they're ready.
