Default Yeast Starter with Corn Sugar?

Did a quick search but didn't find much on this topic. I was wondering if it's ok to make a yeast starter using corn sugar instead of DME? Are there any advantages or disadvantages to this?

no don't do it you want the yeast to get used to eating the complex sugar of the wort not the simple sugar in Corn sugar

just buy a 2# bag of DME, that is enough for 9x 1 liter starters.
1 liter water - 100g DME makes ~1.040 starter
1# = .450 KG

comes out to about $1 per starter
