I back to back cigars about once a week. I try to give myself 20-30 mins between ten if I can to clear my palate.

Smoking a Papas Fritas and listening to Muddy Waters. They go really well together.

I love muddy waters! His folk singer album is the whole reason I went out and bought a record player about 5 years ago. Old gritty blues like his deserves to be listened to on vinyl. It takes you back to the time it was first recorded.

This was just his greatest hits cd, great cd, but I bet it sounds good in vinyl.

Smoking one of the CI Nicaraguan 90+ rated seconds I picked up. 50 ring toro size, looks and tastes like a natural wrapper. Real smooth, lots of leather a bit of cedar, not too peppery but I am enjoying it. Couple small holes in the wrapper but that is all I see wrong with it. I'm going to go ahead and call these a great buy!

Do they tell you what they're supposed to be seconds of? Can you tell what cigar it is from smoking it?

Welcome!! If your not doing so already... The followers of this thread strongly encourage smoking a cigar during brew day lol. And post up any good cigar and drink pairings you find.

They specifically don't say who they are from and when you order there is no telling even what wrapper you are going to end up with so it's kind of a gamble. Before I ordered them I did quite a bit of poking around to try and find out what they are and there seems to be a lot of speculation on puff and even the fan mail on CI that they are Oliva series O. So if that is true this is the sun grown toro. The numbers match up on size. I just so happen to have a sun grown series O in a robusto size. You can be the judge but I think there might be some merit to the speculation. The caps are exactly the same and the pitch of the wrapper when there is a seam is also the same.

I like the Oliva O and have 1 or 2 buried away somewhere. If what you have are smoking like those I'd say that's a hell of a snag! They're a good afternoon cigar.
