Who recommended Famous Smoke Shop to me? I'm about to pull the trigger on a nice order and they have $15 off orders of $75 or more. They're dependable right?

I used to order a lot from cigar monster, which is the same site as famous. I never had any issues with them, CI , or Cigar.com.

could you guys recommend a common cigar that would be easy to find in most cigar shops? Nothing too heavy or complicated. Just a nice smoke for a decent price...

another question: My humidor will not keep humidity. It must not be air tight. What can I do to fix this? What do you guys use? I have some gelatin looking stuff that you add expensive liquid to every once in a while....LOL

I'd recommend a Perdomo Champagne. Probably anything Perdomo. It will probably be in the average to slightly above price range. Getting them online is good value for New Years. It's light with quality taste.

The best way to fix it is to grab a Tupperware and cedar from some cigar boxes if you can get it and make a tupperdor. Very inexpensive but works great. All you do is wash the tupperware with some water and baking soda to get rid of any plastic smell. Add your cigars, the gel humidifier, and spanish cedar if you can get it to the tupperware and thats it. Just make sure to open it once a week and your good to go. Also, you dont have to use that expensive liquid(propylene glycol) just use distilled water.

As for a common cigar.... if I had to take a stab in the dark I'd say Arturo Fuente Grand Reserva or something from Padron. The Padrons will be a little more expensive and fuller bodied but the Padron 2000 is one of the best cigars for the price. Oliva O series is another I'd consider if they have it, especially if they have the maduro.

I have a cedar humidor with a humidifier and digital hygrometer inside...

wouldn't this just be replacing the nice humidor with a Tupperware one? Looking for a more aesthetically pleasing fix.

If it were me, the first thing I would check is to make sure my hygrometer is properly calibrated. If your humidor came as a kit with a cheap plastic analog hygrometer you will probably want to throw it out and get a digital one that can be properly calibrated. If your humidor has been dry for too long you are going to need to re-season it and start over as if it were new.

As for cigars, I don't know what your taste is but I. Highly agree with the pardon suggestion, the 2000 is actually one of my favorites. Also, the macanudo 1968 is another very accessible cigar at a good price. For a quality cheap stick I have been going for the C&C carojo lately and they are typically about $6.00 a stick.
