I use BeerSmith software to develope and convert recipes for my homebrew and I was setting up a Belgian Wit from a previous kit I used (BB) to be converted to AG. So BeerSmith asks for the style of Beer, do I choose Wit Bier to get initial numbers or some other style?

Also, I do not see a lot of recipes for Belgian Wit. Is there a reason for the lack of availability or am I not looking in the right places?

Salute!

A Wit isn't a Wit without a Wit strain, so, yes, Belgian Wit = Witbier.

Spend some time here BJCP 2008 Style Guidelines - Index and you will be less confused

Also, you can just look for the number and subcategory in beersmith then like 16A

Right, Witbier is a Belgian style. You wouldn't see anything saying "German Wit".
