I harvested some of my cascade hop cones today, and found that some had been damaged by pests. The ones that were damaged were on the top half of the plant. They appeared to be wilted, somewhat brown, and had chunks eaten out of them. The ones that had been damaged were clustered together in groups of three or four cones. When I pulled apart the clusters, I found some sort of spiderweb type type thing holding them togather. Any thoughts?

I would agree... Japanese Beetles ate all my early season hops this year.

I have these little green worms with black heads that web things together and munch cones here. They're usually gone by early august though.
Looking forward to brewing some beer
