Default Jamil's Oatmeal Stout - hop sub?

I went to the LHBS yesterday to get the ingredients for Jamil's Oatmeal Stout recipe. Well, instead of grabbing 2 oz of EKG I grabbed 1.5 oz. So....this only gets me to about 29 IBU's. I have some Magnum and was wondering if that would be ok to sub in for about .25 oz @ 60 mins to get me in the 36 IBU range? TIA.

I think that will be fine and is what I would probably do.

Magnum is a good choice for increasing IBU without adding much else.

It will be fine. If you have any other British type hops you might use those instead. The reason for using a lower alpha hop like that is to provide a very subtle background hop character. It really isn't a big deal either way. You could move a tiny bit of the EKG to mid boil to get a tiny bit more character, but I wouldn't worry about it.
