Ohio Brew Week

Just a couple weeks away now, is anyone else attending?
I have the pleasure of living in Athens and enjoying the beers all week.

Not attending, but I hope to send in some beers for the competition.

Not sure if you did but apparently there are already 180 or so entries. I know a few of the judges and they have a bunch of work to do.

I missed the window I think. I slacked off on bottling (from kegs) so I need to do that. I did register the brews online but given the holiday I don't think they'd make it even if I sent them off today. I have been too busy with other stuff.

Judging was completed yesterday and was a blast! Kickoff ceremony was today but I didnt get a chance to go. Monday begins all of the craft beers on tap if not today. I am hoping to try 50-60 new beers throughout the week.

Results are up:

Ohio Brew Week

I took third in the Strong Scotch Ale category! My first ever placing...though it's only the third beer I've ever entered anywhere so it's not as if I've given myself too many chances.

Only a third but still exciting for me.
