Recipe Type: All Grain   
Yeast: 1056   
Yeast Starter: nope   
Additional Yeast or Yeast Starter: nope   
Batch Size (Gallons): 5g   
Original Gravity: forgot   
Final Gravity: next time   
IBU: guessing 50ish   
Boiling Time (Minutes): 60   
Color: light ale   
Primary Fermentation (# of Days & Temp): 4 weeks at 70F   
Additional Fermentation: none   
Secondary Fermentation (# of Days & Temp): none   
Tasting Notes: Light but big body and sweet nice hop nose and taste   

Wow I bet you're impressed with my scientific method and attention to detail.
For better or for worse I've adopted the "casserole" approach to making beer, "hmmm, what ingredients do I have to work with". Bear in mind I'm in a small town mucho miles from a an "ingredients store". So I open my Rubbermaid container and find only a few pounds of this and that and I says lets make an IPA cuz I have some good IPA hops on hand.
After all is said and done all I can say is I've never tasted a beer like this and DAG GUM she's tasty! I've never had a beer that retains a head quite like this. Its bitter, it's sweet, it's full bodied, it's almost lite, it's hoppy, YUMMMMM!
Here's the details:
2.0Lbs Pale Malt
9.00Lbs Pilsner Malt
0.5 Lbs Munich
0.5Lbs Biscuit
0.5Lbs Crystal 80L

2.0oz Goldings 60 mins (I figure, "why not!")
0.50oz Amarillo 45 mins
0.50oz Centennial 30 mins
0,50oz Cascade 15 mins
0.50oz Cascade 10 mins
0.50oz Cascade 5 mins
1.0oz Centennial flame out

0.5oz Amarillo (dry hop) 7 days
0.5oz Centennial (dry hop) 7days
0.5oz Cascade (dry hop) 7days

Mashed at 156F for 45 mins, sparged at 170F

looks good... i think the amarillo probably contribute more bitter than flavor... your mash temp made this a pretty malty beer

0.5Lbs Biscuit is an interesting twist, but I like it.....

No motive to my madness I was just cleaning up some leftover malts. For sure it had body but wasn't crazy malty.
