I'm trying cold crashing for the first time on my Honey Blonde. It's been in the fridge at 35 for 4 days now and all it seems to be doing is causing a chill haze. Cloudy beer doesn't really bother me, I just thought I'd give it a try. What's the deal?

Did you use any clarifying agents? Irish Moss, gelatin, etc, etc . . . If not, it will clear gradually in a few weeks.

. . . . If so, It will clear in a couple of weeks? I'm just making this up as I go. Could be a cold break problem, what are your cooling techniques?

I use a cold water bath with the water changed out every 4 minutes or so. Then, ice and water near the end
. It usually takes about half an hour to reach pitching temps, give or take a few minutes.

Cold crashing is used to knock suspended yeast out before kegging. Once kegged it may take another couple weeks to get rid of chill haze.
