So, I was linked Govdeals.com and poked around for a while. Medford Township NJ appears to be auctioning off a lot of "used kegs in bad shape". Link is here. Looks like the current price is around $55.

I guess they were confiscated or found abandoned?

Unfortunately, there are only two straight sided 15.5 gallon ones and one more that is rubber coated. Still a great price. I'd take those two for kettle/vessel use and scrap the remaining ones to get most of the money back.
