The lawn service cut off half of my hops. No one else understands my grief so I thought I'd vent here.

The only reasonable thing to do here is go to the lawn service's yard and cut down some of their ****...
 
Lawn services will cut down anything that isn't grass or fenced off.

The hops will probably come back.
 
Were you expecting a yield? Sounds like the lawn service needs to buy you some hops to replace the ones you won't be able to use now. Those are valuable plants. They should pay for them.
