Default Road Bikes

I need a new road bike. I've been cheap and have been riding a vintage Schwinn I refurnished but it's way too heavy. Looking for something lightweight and quality but fairly inexpensive. I just ride it to work, no weekend cross county treks.

Get a decent Cyclocross bike, and you can hammer like a road bike, but in foul weather, you have clearance for big tires and fenders.

What is your price range?
