So I'm going to do my first recipe (that's not based on a kit) and I'm looking to go off the Oatmeal Cookie recipe from Radical Brewing. While I don't think it's necessary to post a whole formal recipe, here's what I'm basically going off of:

6 lb amber dry extract
1 lb biscuit/amber malt
1 lb rolled oats (toasted)
1lb medium crystal
1 lb brown sugar

dash of vanilla, cinnamon at last 5 min of boil

.75oz Northern Brew
.5oz Northdown

Some English Ale yeast

Anyways, I'm looking to try and get a hint of coconut in here somewhere, but I don't know where to add it. I don't think I should necessarily put it in the mini-mash, I was thinking more so added during secondary?

Make sure your beer is good enough before adding any flavors/herb/spices.

When you rack to the secondary it'll be good.

Toast dry coconut on a cookie sheet until it starts turning brown the n add it to the carboy. Let sit 1 week then sample it.
