I'm making a 1gal batch of EdWort's apfelwein in the plastic jug that the apple juice came in. I'd assume that it's alright, but I probably wouldn't want to reuse it afterward. Can anyone confirm this?

My juice came in PET bottles, which should be fine for fermenting. I didn't use them for the apfelwine (5 gallon batch) but I'm planning on doing a split-batch wheat in them to experiment with fruit and other variables.

why do you think that you could not reuse it if you cleaned it proper

I don't think that there would be any problems reusing these jugs after you're finished with your first batch in them. Just make sure that they are first cleaned and then sanitized using your favorite sanitizer such as StarSan.
