wow, that's a beefy Koelsch. def Imperial!!!

first Koelsch recipe I've ever seen wth 7.5 lbs of extract + steeping grains!

Koelsvh yeast would have been cool, but still, it's going to be a good beer!

Moved this batch from primary to secondary today. It's certainly going to be potent.. Perhaps an Imperial Kolsch??? ha ha.

Took a hydro reading and after 8 days in primary it's 1.020. Taste is good but still green with a hot alcohol finish to it. I'll post a follow up in a week or two when it goes to bottles or keg. I haven't decided where it will end up.

Two things to report.
1. This beer is so good!! I'll certainly be making it again.

2. I finally figured out why I've been missing my OG's on the high side. I've haven't been putting my steeping grains in a bag. I've just been pouring them into the water and letting them free float. This is causing my efficiency to go up and thus throwing off my OG as opposed to what the recipe predicted.
