Just about to bottle my first batch of cider, After reading the Apfelwein thread it said to use the same amount of corn sugar as you would with beer.

Now I don't want a sparkling cider bubbles, I don't want head, I just want a normal Cider carbonation which, from tasting strongbow, it's probably about half the amount.

I was reading somewhere in this forum that "cider doesnt carbonate as well as beer does" Is this statement true? or was someone just Bs'ing?

I plan on using half a teaspoon per beer bottle.

Use the same amount as you would for beer and you will probably get what you want. But you can always lower it to meet your desires.
Meads: Hababero and Sarrano Capiscumel, Show Mead possibly getting split and flavored, and 12 gallons of Bochet Deliciousness
Ciders:3 Ciders with differing additives TBD, Strawberry/Apple Cider
Wine: Black Cherry Vanilla Port
