Right. You can't start a new thread inside a thread. (Well you could, but the universe as we know it would likely split in two.) You are reading this...therefore you are inside a thread.

You need to go "up" one level to where the various threads are listed under the various forum categories.

can we add another? how about drunken posts have to state a level of drunkeness.
also, if posting while drunk, immediately email yourself the link to your post, you'll probably forget you did it anyway...

I think writing the original post takes some real skill. To break each rule in the sentence that defines it is impressive.

Of course what is funny is the number of people not recognizing that fact. I will be the optimist and believe that they missed the point of the post because they just skimmed the post, not because they do not know grammar.

24. Eliminate quotations. As Ralph Waldo Emerson said, "Ihate quotations. Tell me what you know."
25. If you've heard it once, you've heard it a thousand times: Resist hyperbole; not one writer in a million can use it correctly.
26. Puns are for children, not groan readers.
27. Go around the barn at high noon to avoid colloquialisms.
28. Even IF a mixed metaphor sings, it should be derailed.
29. Who needs rhetorical questions?
30. Exaggeration is a billion times worse than understatement.
31. Proofread carefully to see if you any words out.
It's funny because it's true. You got skills, bro!
