In my system I heat my sparge tank to 185. Since the water is moving so slowly through my silicon hoses, it cools considerably before hitting the top of the grain in the MLT. I generally start to raise the temps the last 15 minutes of the mash so I might hit 158 - 160 and it doesn't move much from there the duration of my sparge.
