Hello All,
I started my first batch last saturday, so it has been fermenting for 6 days now, 7 tomorrow. It is down to bubbling every 20-25 seconds. Since this is my first cider, will it be ready to bottle tomorrow? saturday? Should i let it wait until it bubbles once a minute? I am sure the time frame is different between beer and cider. Any advice will be helpful. Thank You.

I'd leave it longer before bottling. It's still fairly active if it's at 20-25 second bubbling. You haven't mentioned the OG and yeast type but I'd still concerned with creating 'bottle grenades'.

More like October.

Fermentation could take a couple of weeks. Clearing in a secondary fermenter could take several months.

Want it sparkling? Add another month (or two). Good cider takes time.

I would move it off the yeast, rack it to the secondary. Let it sit awhile. After it stops bubblin' bottle it. Then wait, and be patient. Everything i read about this commented on sitting it out. Be patient, it may taste like hell, but let do its thing. Gets better with time. Check it by drinking one bottle every month or so.

How much did you put in your fermenter and did you add any extra sugar to the juice when you started? It usually takes me a good two or three months before I even begin consider bottling.
