I purchased some K-97 last week, and I am not sure why? Search leads me to one thing, it is good in Alt.

Well I do not brew Alts. I brew an APA, Porter, Honey Brown, Spiced Brown(Christmas) and an Irish Red.

Do you think that the K-97 would work for any of these?

Ferm 1: Irish Red Ale
Ferm 2:

On Deck: American Wheat

Keg 1: Un-Common
Keg 2: Switchback Stout

Total Gallons brewed (2015) - 10

I've read that it's great for American Wheats. I used it once and I'm still not sure what to think of it. I do not taste any real pronounced esters from it. It should work.
Everything is better with a beer.

probably am american amber, your spiced beer or your irish red, too. An american Amber is a lot like an Alt with American ingredients, instead of German.

APA for sure, or an amber. Ferment it cool, around 62-64*F and give it plenty of time to clear. A long secondary or crash cooling will help drop out the yeast.
