I've read from multiple sources that you can oxidize wort if you add oxygen while its too hot. If thats the case...is it possible to oxidize it while its boiling? If not, ...then why not?

Boiling removes the oxygen. That's why you want to oxygenate your wort for the benefit of the yeast after you cool it down. It's only if you aerate it AFTER you boil and while it's hot that it oxidizes.

After boiling it is essential to aerate the wort. People shake the fermentor, pump in air, or pump in oxygen.

Yeast needs oxygen at the beginning.

Boiling reduces disolved gasses, including oxygen.

Perhaps I misunderstand the question, but I don't see how you could create a problem during the boil.

I'm confident, but I'll wAit with you for the experts.

Topdog beat me. Does aerating while too hot cause the trouble?

Yes. Can't find the reference offhand, but if memory serves it's that the undesirable compounds are formed more readily at higher temperatures than at low temperatures (where they don't form at all).
