The Brewhouse Munich lager kit.

Maybe because its a few degrees hotter out now, but ive never had it hit the lid before.
 
its cool to see someone using the same fermenter as me. ive always been a little worried about it, not being totally sealed and all. never had any problems, as i only use it for primary. even still, a 5g batch, the highest i had was maybe half way between the beer and the lid. never TOUCHING the lid!!! COOL PIC :fro:
 
mrfurlly: as you said, these work fine for primary fermentation. During the first week there is so much CO2 coming out it doesn't matter that it isn't sealed. If we left it in this for longer than a week maybe there would be oxidation, but I always transfer to a glass carboy.

Usually I get about 5-6 inches of krausen but this was probably a foot or so.
