I hate my GD back.

Everything was fine. I got in my car and backed out of the driveway. I didn't make it to the end of the street when I felt a horrible pain. Backed up and came right back home and was practically unable to move. I'm on the recliner now, 2 vicodin in and still feeling pain.

That sucks man, have you weighed out all your options for taking care of it? I'm not looking forward to problems like that in life. I already have a tiny bit of carpel tunnel or arthritis... not sure, but it's effecting my guitar playing and cooking which is really irritating. I'm afraid in ten years it could be a serious problem.

Don't know what caused it. I'm trying to get an appointment for some accupunture tomorrow. Took a few vicodine today, so there was no jerking of any kind.

Accupuncture ain't gonna help, neither will a chiropracter. Go see a real doctor! ;) - my *******/realist opinion, don't hate me.

I disagree the chiropractor I went to made me feel better (if only for a short time). Every time I went. Feeling better for a short time in my case was well worth the $$$. Never did anything for the cause but did make me feel better. Thank god I haven't had back problems like that in a few years.

Never had Acupuncture.

I hear ya, but like you said, it's temporary. As far as acumpuncture, I know a good witch doctor that lives in town as well, if you want their number it's: 1800 RISE CHICKEN

I think chiropractors are witch doctors too... They had me go to some seminar on Saturday which the implied the chiropractic medicine cures everything including cancer. (Or prevents)

Almost every other country in the world requires their doctors to learn accupuncture.

Apart from that, I get it free through my company.

Chiropractors are fairly well educated when it comes to anatomy and physiology. The science taught in chiropractic school is comparable to what an MD receives. Once the student enters their fourth year of school the focus shifts to musculoskeletal and neurological conditions as well as radiology.

I know there are several chiropractors that are less than honest, but to single out the whole profession as "witch doctors" is not fair. There are many of us who know our limitations and are willing to refer a patient to an MD. However, when it comes to back pain and other musculoskeletal ailments, I feel (know) that the conservative treatment a chiropractor can offer to patients is far less detrimental to a patient's outcome than unneeded surgery.

Sorry to read about your back Cheesefood, good luck.

I have a much higher opinion of chiropractors as medical professionals than I do general physicians.

Sorry your back is hurting ya, Cheese. :(

The vet recommended acupuncture for my dog after he got hit by a car. At 60 bucks a visit, I decided it was cheaper to have my friend come over and do reiki for free, and it totally works. Look into reiki and therapeutic massage, it works amazingly well for my dog.

Sorry!!! You are right my experience with 1 Doctor does not give me the right to say what I did. (No excuse, however I had plenty of liquid courage last night).
Please accept my apology!!!!

There's an increasing number of pain specialists (i.e. MD's post-anesthesiology residency having taken a pain fellowship) in this country that practice acupuncture as well. East-meets-west...like steak and rice, or something like that.
