Does anyone know what malt(s) is/are used in the production of...

1) Munton's Extra Light DME; and
2) Munton's Light DME?

I remember reading somewhere (probably one of these forums) that Munton's Extra light consisted of English 2-row and CaraPils, but I'm not sure as to the validity of that information or the proportion in which these grains ought to be used.

(The reason I'm asking: I brewed a small batch IPA with Munton's Extra Light DME and Munton's Light DME which I would like to replicate this as closely as possible doing an all grain batch, and I'm not sure what malts I should use)

Thanks!
Frank

They do not disclose the amounts (nor do most maltsters). But I would assume 5% or less carapils and/or crystal.

Muntons Extra Light DME (37 ppg / 2-3 L) contains English 2-row (not Maris Otter) and English Carapils.

Muntons Light DME (44 ppg / 4-5 L) contains English 2-row, English Carapils, and Light English Crystal.

For a comparison, pure English and American 2-row is typically 34-37 ppg / 2 L.

Exactly what I wanted to know, thanks for your help and the quick response.
