hey everyone, so I am looking to produce a belgian tripel, Right now it is all Pilsner and Aromatic with an all Citra hop schedule.

I am planning on using the wyeast private collection leuven pale ale, mixed with a small amount of white labs 568, Belgian Saison Trappist Ale blend. I think the white labs will lend a lot of nice phenolics to the beer while the Leuven has good flocculation, resulting in a fairly clear beer.

Just wanted to get everyone's opinion on the mix.

Thanks
Kyle

Oooh, sounds like a solid mix to me. You're definitely going to get plenty of spiciness from the yeast and in combination with the citra you're going to end up with tripel with a good bite to it. This tartness will probably end up going in your favor as it will increase it's quaffability and thirt-quenching abilities... a good characteristic for a tripel.
