I'm making a simple american ale that i've made before and I want to add just a little lactose to it. When should I do this? Thanks for any replies I didn't have the time to do the search.

I've added it during the last 10 min of the boil & I've also added it at bottling time to sweeten it up (add to a cup or so of boiling water). Either way, it'll work.

It is an add anytime ingredient. You can add to boil or boil it up with water and add it to secondary or bottling bucket.

I'm brewing a Sweet Stout with 1lb. of Lactose this weekend also.

So it will have no impact on the brew either way no matter when it's added??
