i originally had my mead ferment and sit for about 2 1/2 months. I then changed the mead over to a different carboy to get it off the yeast that was at the bottom of the carboy. its been about 1 1/2 months. its clearing up very nicely but i have some yeast sitting at the bottom of the carboy. is it okay to sit on this yeast? should i move it over again? or just leave it alone?

Depends on the yeast strain. If it's 71b then I would rack it when the lees gets to about 1/4 inch. If it's just a dusting then you should be fine to let it go longer.
