FYI for those interested. Just a short note for the Small Boil Extract Brewers. I have brewed a five gallon batch, two gallon boil, by-the-recipe brew on an 1800W Induction portable cooktop (110V, 15 Amp), with no increase in total brew time (set-up through clean-up). This cooktop is made by Vollrath, but there are many other similar products available, especially on ebay. This allows you to get out of the kitchen, and brew in the basement or garage, without adequate ventilation(ie. for a propane cooker). I only mention this because I was unable to find a previous post suggesting this would be successful.

has any hbt'er used induction cooktops for brewing?

I was thinking if it worked to use it to heat up my sparge and strike water, they caqn be found on amazon for under $100

I as well as the OP searched and can not find anything on induction cooktops
